Last week, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin appointed James Stovall, the executive director of Hermitage Roanoke, to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Commission (ADRD).
The ADRD Commission is a distinguished board that is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other related disorders. The commission’s role includes advising on policy, raising public awareness, and supporting research and innovative practices in treatment.
"I am honored to be appointed to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Commission," Stovall said. "This opportunity enables me to advocate for those living with Alzheimer’s and their families on a larger scale, contributing to meaningful changes and improvements for aging adults in the Commonwealth."
Stovall brings over 14 years of experience in senior living and healthcare management to the ADRD Board. As executive director of Hermitage Roanoke, Stovall is skilled at navigating resident relations and also enhancing the community culture for team members. Stovall has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 2010, an acknowledgement of his proficiency and devotion to the field of aging services.
